Drow (Species)
The Drow in this campaign differ in a few particulars from the Drow described in the official D&D rules.
History
While they still live in the Underdark, in this campaign the Underdark is a separate plane1 instead of just a system of caves under the Sword Coast. Lolth was, at some time in the past, cast into this plane with her followers in an attempt by the other Gods to stop her plans for conquest.
Demographics
Drow Lifespan
Do you know that the official recorded Drow Lifespan is ‘until killed’? That they are the only species for which ‘murder’ is counted as ‘natural causes’?
—CK
In general the Drow are slightly shorter than humans. They have the trademark dark coloration, often white or pale-gold hair, and light colored eyes. They are almost uniformly thin, bordering on emaciation.
Notable Members of the Species
- Belaryl Horzza
- Nez’Zara Vaedira
- Drizzt Do’Urdan. He probably exists somewhere in this version of Faerûn. But so far has not actually made an appearance.
